I cracked and am back on the internet. I made it 14 days. Not bad, but I did check my email a few times. I’m in Mui Ne, Vietnam. The computer I’m using is slow and the internet is slow. I’m leaving today for Vietnam for three weeks. I’m going to (try) not to use the internet at all while I’m there. This will be the longest break from my virtual best friend I’ve ever taken since we fell in love back in ‘95. Let’s see how I do.
The Kowloon Walled City was located just outside Hong Kong, China during British rule. A former watchpost to protect the area against pirates, it was occupied by Japan during World War II and subsequently taken over by squatters after Japan’s surrender.
